Reading the links to the "Michael Moore is lying, here's the proof" websites, they remind me of the way Creationists claim the 1000 or so pages of the Bible are more trustworthy than the millions of pages of scientific enquiry that disprove it. What I enjoyed the most were the "read the whole quote" sections which then did not include the original quote. What's up with that? I receive mailings from the Christian Coalition, the Project for a New American Century, and spend a lot of time listening to and reading the far right's output of materials. People that support the President as unquestioned and unimpeachable GREAT LEADER never bother to look at the opposing arguments. As with the Christian fundamentalists they emulate, it is considered sinful to even attempt an understanding of the contrary position. This would require them to think. It would also require them to read sources (as if the Right bothers with such useless decorations as footnotes or scholarship of any type), do research, compare and contrast (as if the Right can see anything other than black and white). To actually go see a movie that calls into question the honesty and integrity of a Bush using information that is public and footage of these people themselves would be to stain themselves in the eyes of the almighty dollar. Best to keep your eyes down and nose to the grindstone so that the blessings of the GREAT LEADER might trickle down upon you. At least half of Americans are idiots. Sadly, some of them are on this list. ____________________ www.psychicreform.com or http://www.ifpr.homestead.com until we get things working ____________________ A man without self-doubt is a monster. --Garrison Keillor 25% of the world's prison population is in the United States.
