> or me to embrace. I think you
put it aptly, the Orblivion gigs sound very abrasive/choppy, almost like a war
scene (not that I would know what that is like, never been in a war.) The
ups and downs, along with the sequencing and sample make for an almost chaotic
setting. That said, I still enjoy them very much - just believe they are a
step down from the earlier gigs. I don't find the Cydonia era material
much different than the Orblivion. Yes things flow a bit better but they
are still somewhat choppy and noisy to me.
Interesting perspective - I thought the Orblivion show
I saw was kind of bland, though it did have the most elaborate visuals of the
shows I saw by far. Certainly not warlike (the Terrarvm show was much more
like being shelled - though I too haven't actually done that!). As I
understand things, the earlier Orblivion shows were pretty album-like, with much
better mutation later in the tour (the guy I got the Orbscure Trax CD from
commented that versions on it are more like how they were when he saw the
later-in-tour show).
Cydonia - I liked the ups and
downs/choppiness. I think your perspective would be different "if you'd
been there" (and I mean _been_ there).
