Can anyone figure this guy out? I've asked for first hand accounts of "free" public healthcare from people who live there and I get attacked on and off list. Fucking amazing. My responses to Mister Bad Ass are marked with **. The most vicious and personal attacks are at the bottom. It's always civil to wish a person utter failure because their opinions differ from yours. What a wonderful world. ____________________ www.psychicreform.com ____________________ "Be who you are... not what's cool." --Chef. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tim C" <timc_orb@charter.net> To: "'Alan Evil'" <alanevil@bellsouth.net> Cc: "'What were the skies like when you were young?'" <orb@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Monday, December 06, 2004 2:15 PM Subject: RE: [Orb] re: OT Request
More amazing logic. By throttling capitalism (and getting involved in healthcare at all levels) governments have forced the costs of healthcare to rise.
Could you be specific? As best as I can tell the cost of
Well, this is a good start. http://www.afcm.org/ideas.html Also dig around on www.capmag.com and look for healthcare articles.
Without corporations, where the fuck do you think you'd be, anyway? business owner. Fuck corporations.
As someone else alluded to, how much do you use in the course of your business that was made by corporations? **I don't want to work for a corporation. Why the fuck should I want to work for a big corporation? As best I can tell the only way to move up to the higher levels of large corporations is to be really skilled at ass kissing, preferably with a lot of tongue. I don't kiss ass well so fuck corporations. I don't want to work for one. What is so hard for you to understand about this? You may enjoy whoring yourself. I don't. -- Almost every business is a form of corporation, do you take me for an idiot? There is a point at which businesses grow beyond the point where they are doing good and so they should be controlled and restricted. It works quite well as the periods of greatest prosperity and growth have always occurred during periods of increasing regulation. But my point is that I don't want to work for a large corporation. Try to get your head around it. It's sooooooo simple.
Who do you think creates jobs?
I thought it was small business owners...
Ha! A small business employs on average, what, 3-10 people? Corporations - hundreds to thousands each. **Just my point. Bush went on endlessly about how small business is the driving force blah blah blah during his campaign and you know he was full of shit but you voted for him anyway. Lies and deceit are how your side works. But irony is usually lost on people like you.
corporations, thus reducing employment in any given sector.
More interesting logic. I'd explain myself more, but I'm too stupid to. **You're "too stupid, too." I didn't say it, you did.
Where the fuck do you think wealth comes from?
I guess it must be the all knowing and beneficient corporations. All hail Enron. Dumbass.
Enron failed because they did not respect reality. If your level of philosophical awareness is at the level it seems to be, how much longer before your unspecified "small business" follows them? **Enron was the darling of you people back in the day. I submit that our economy is running on a similar model to Enron's at this point. I also submit there are quite a few major corporations teetering on the edge because to get as huge as they get they have to loose any kind of safety net. (See the air transportation sector.) Small businesses competing vigorously is a strong economic driver. Increasingly large businesses relying on increasingly small profit margins are weak and offer decreasing jobs, benefits, and pay... It's this whole movement to a service economy with the many waiting on the few. **My unspecified business is a contracting company specializing in restorational carpentry. I'm an honest businessman, I pay well, and I pay all my taxes. After all that I don't make any money, really. Hopefully once I've repaired and sold a few more houses I'll be able to retire comfortably. It's a big hope considering the direction our society is taking but I'm just looking forward to $4/gallon gas and the return of the suburbanites to city cores. I'm ready. **Funny how few of the monster companies pay any taxes at all. Again I point to Bush's bullshit about how he wants to help "small business." All of his actions have helped mega-corporations trickling down to nothing for the small guys. Does that seem fair? The only rich people I know in my business are worthless bastards that will rob you blind if you look away. Those that are just well off tend to be decent people that are good bosses but don't pay particularly well. I prefer flipping houses for income but I'm still working on making any real money at it for myself. I've gotten good practice helping flip about 40 houses in Savannah but I'm still building up the equity to be able to turn them quickly. Slow but sure should do it. **How's your business? Had your tongue up any asses lately? (That was mean. Maybe your huge corporation doesn't require ass kissing to succeed.)
Imagine how inexpensive health care would be without all the regulations (everywhere), unreasonable lawsuits (i.e, breakdown of justice system, particularly in USA), the difficulty in approving new medicines (again, mainly USA here - but of course the good ol' FDA approves things like aspartame), etc.
*Sigh* You've been listening to too much Rush Limbaugh, kid.
Go fuck yourself, you dipshit. I find it amazing that you answer my assertions with insults and still expect me to waste my time backing them up. Any further replies from you will be directed at the brick wall known as dev/null... **What about the rest of the paragraph? You read just like a transcript of a parrot that's been sitting on a radio playing Rush Limbaugh so why is that an insult to you? Oh, because you know as well as the rest of us that he just makes shit up half the time and can twist the party line to fit "conservative values" because he never has to actually present facts or sources or be honest for that matter. Or is it because Rush Limbaugh is just "entertainment" and you're insulted I assume he and those like him are your source for information? I'd be insulted if someone thought I listened to him as much as I do. I usually have to turn him off because I can't stay ahead of his bullshit. It's like it builds up in a huge wave of bullshit that you can't refute quickly enough. Each show is worthy of four hours of refutation. No wonder the conservatives are on the increase. It's FAR easier to believe than to question or even refute. We should all just submit. Sieg heil. **And again, I wasn't talking to you in the first place. We don't have "free" public healthcare in the US so you don't have any personal experience of it. I'm tired of talking to you as well. It is just like talking to a brick wall... well, a brick wall with an ugly mouth, that is.
