For the Thanksgiving holiday I drove my monstrous, gas guzzling piece of crap 12 passenger Ford van through Kentucky (over the river and through the woods...) to my grandma's. All the way I listened to live Orb stuff on my portable mp3 player which is having remote troubles so it would occasionally pause itself just to be annoying. The problem I have is the way these files are named tells me little about them so I'm hoping the list can clear them up for me (and everyone else since they're on CR). 1993ca~1 -- I'm guessing this was recorded in California? This is one file. 1996or~1 -- This is broken into 13 tracks. The last is some pathetic, clueless dj from KROQ in Pasadena. It was a show played in a national forest somewhere. I'd love to get a board mix without the dj interruptions. 1997bo~1 -- This one is in 10 tracks which are named as follows: Cd101s~1.mp3, Cd102t~1.mp3, Cd103b~1.mp3, Cd104b~1.mp3, Cd105d~1.mp3, Cd201o~1.mp3, Cd202a~1.mp3, Cd203l~1.mp3, Cd204s~1.mp3, Cd204s~1.mp3, Cd205t~1.mp3. It sounds like it was recorded from the audience (very good quality but lots of crowd noise). 1997gl~1 -- This is in 9 tracks and is kind of decipherable. Is it maybe Glastenbury (sp?). 1tower~1.mp3, 2we_re~1.mp3, 3beer_~1.mp3, 4termi~1.mp3, 5asylu~1.mp3, 6salt~1.mp3, 7toxyg~1.mp3, 8delta~1.mp3, 9majes~1.mp3. 1997to~1 -- This one is in 17 tracks. 01span~1.mp3, 02secr~1.mp3, 03blue~1.mp3, 04asyl~1.mp3, 05astr~1.mp3, 06we_r~1.mp3, 07beer~1.mp3, 08outl~1.mp3, 09delt~1.mp3, 10beam~1.mp3, 11plat~1.mp3, 12bedo~1.mp3, 13maje~1.mp3, 14favo~1.mp3, 15salt~1.mp3, 16toxy~1.mp3, 17litt~1.mp3. Does anyone have any shows from 94 and 95? Were they touring or in the studio? I know Thrash is going to spit venom over this but I think these shows are fucking brilliant. Even with the occasional mistake (which for me just lets you know that they were really playing this stuff and not just dj-ing it) they're of a type of trippy ambience that is unique and I would still love to hear performed live. Since the only thing I ever got to see them do live was the "Greatest Hits" tour (yawn)... oh well. Speaking of Thrash, I've been trying to get into the KDX thing as I've finally got a couple of free hours to download stuff and I keep getting "Remote host refused connection." What does this mean?
