I think you are referring to Orbital, who played at
the Dance Valley festival.They played well, but their beats weren't as pounding
(and therefore disappointing for the crowds) as Junkie Xl who played prior to
Orbital. This was indeed 2001, and ended up with 1000s of ravers soaking from
heavily rain and walking towards anything on the freeway, causing traffic delays
and angry mayors... Richie Hawtin kicked ass though!
Le Petit Orb however played on the festival in 2000
and there are no recordings (at least, not proper ones. I know of one old time
orb member who tried to record the show and his recording device failed within
five minutes... \). It was one of those shows where LX didn't have his best
DJ-day, but it was good fun!

I think i may have been at that event... is that
in the netherlands? I may have a very short, out of focus very long zoom
shot on my camera (as i know i have a short bit of the orb live at an event
around that time in the netherlands).
It was an outdoor event with about 45000 people
there. Orb was on the main stage which was outdoor with a big lake off
the side of the two main areas-
