Man, some harsh replies (not just this one, others in this thread too). Again, just out of principle I have to weigh in here and say I still think The Dream is incredibly good. Just like (I know you guys love this) Rush, the Orb has always changed...just like some Rush fans like certain 70s or 80s periods the best, some Orb fans do the same for certain Orb periods too (early work, Terrarvm, Orblivion seeming to be commonly-enjoyed high points). Well, what's the price for more stuff like those periods? Honestly, a boring band without nearly as much longevity. And I, for one, would much rather have something different to listen to...for instance, I'm not tracking down every damn remaster and bonus disc I can because I already have enough various versions of Ultraworld-era stuff. I'm not sure the Orb is trying to "chase a sound that will never be again;" there's a difference between remaking an old album/sound and deciding a direction wasn't so interesting (Okie Dokie)(whether LX thought so or just realized most fans did, not sure there). I think The Dream does a fantastic job of demonstrating all that LX and friends have learned over the years. 8 years of junk, I have to totally disagree there...Cydonia and 2&3 might have been less-strong releases, but they're still better than 98% of all albums ever made.... The price of following the pattern of the first two albums is almost too much to bear - imagine no Terrarvm, Orblivion, Cydonia ("Turn It Down and Mile Long Lump of Lard = "junk"??), 2&3 (Japanese "FaD" esp NOT "junk"), AUGH. I think LX has had great integrity of chasing his vision instead of chasing expectations that are diverse and can never be realistically met. As far as music industry whoring, maybe there's some of that, but at least fans have access to material they may not have otherwise had - and I'm sure LX doesn't mind the royalty checks either (note, NOT an indictment). Face it folks. The Orb will never have the line-up that they once had. We like them, keep chasing a sound that will never be again. They get a good track from time to time, but IMO, they are done. They would have to do something really amazing to excite me. A new FFWD to reunion with Krissie, something like that, not the junk that they have been putting out for the last 8 years. And the special "Re-Releases" just money whoring. Repackage and throw a few "special" mixes that have been on the net for 10+ years in new packaging, Great for US YEAH. Remastered my ass. Money whoring once by the music once again...

Ok, I managed to get it. I think it's crap, one of the worst Orb remixes. It's minimal dub with Louis Armstrong song sampled in... Not worth getting.
