hold up as a unique listening experience. And I disagree that Passing of Time is a great and lasting Orb track. I think it tries to cash in on an earlier idea but doesn't quite live up to the bench marks set by previous releases.
I disagree - as can be expected from my previous post - listen to this 'under the right circumstances' and it does the job quite nicely!
Interesting that Bicycles and Tricycles has not come up in this thread. I sent a scathing review to this list when it came out. I give no high marks to Okie Dokie as well. If you didn't know The Orb and picked either of them up before anything else, would you be compelled to buy more?
Actually it has - "2&3" = my abbreviation for that, which I assumed was clear. And yes, if I picked up 2/3 I would buy more - several tracks are nice ("Ginger" has been rightfully mentioned in this regard). I do agree on OkDoK though.
That is what makes me buy everything he works on. I'm very forgiving of what I consider his "mis-steps" because sooner or later he puts something out that will last forever, which is what originally separated The Orb from everything else.
Indeed. LX's musical mind is unparalleled. T
