Gel-sol, Come to orlando, fine batch of talent brewing here... In all directions (ranging from the melodic ambient to the rackous afx style calamity to the prefuse 73 style hip-hoppery) http://lalaland.cc/ http://www.nophi.net/ http://www.nophi.net/rg/ http://www.machinedrum.net/drum/index.html All this talent is showcased every week, including international talent too. I figure I'm approaching 30, and have a relatively clear view of what I want musically, so my next step is to hire a 20 year old production whiz, lets call him "Flash," release 5 or 6 really good albums, tell "Flash" to take a hike, then release a bunch of sub-par Gel-Sol albums due to my laziness. But seriously, I like the new Orb album...better than cydonia, but definitely no Orbvs Terrarvm. Come to think of it, orbvs terrarvm is one of my all time favorite albums, pivotal in my direction of music, but every review I read about it panned the shit out of the album. Mainly cuz it wasn't "poppy," which is why I love it. I've listened to Orb's adventures beyond the ultraworld maybe twice, and dont really care for it...UF Orb too. Thanks for the comments though...I hope I do go somewhere, or at least out of D.C. Yer Pal, Gel-Sol www.gel-sol.com
gel-sol you will go far -maybe as far as the orb himself -don't forget
to come back in 10 years and give us bitter rantings instead of good music
