Hope I’m not out of bounds here.  Just got back from the SF Merry Cart, and thought I’d give the list a very vague lowdown.
I didn’t buy OkyDoky but have heard a few of a few tracks off of it and overall the whole show had a very House-y feel.   Really upbeat and sort of in my opinion straightforward, even a little stark.  ?  The same sort of vibe I get from OKyDoky.

But.
I arrived and locked my bike up outside, went directly to the tix window and pretty much walked right in...got an ID check which was fun for me and then found my way to the back off the main stage area.  Fehlmann was on stage and it was approx 9:30p.  He stayed on the AppleLaptop the whole show.  But from where I ended up after a trip to the bar I could only see his head really.  From about 12 feet away I did get to see LX actually really enjoy himself playing pretty much some Orb greatest hits and some serious new stuff and then DJ by himself as an encore like fun.  He was very appreciative and dancing animated[ly] towards the audience and Felhmann.  They seemed to really being making the music they wanted.
So they “started” out with a few weird noises, and kinda played a soft echo-y but mostly verbatim Alles Ist Schoen and then a little transition, after that they jumped right into Oasis of rhythm remix and then got as I’ve already written, pretty house-y.  I hope not to offend anyone, but that’s not really my sceeen...It was a great show with highlights of older orb songs I’ve been looking forward to.  Cool Harbour of course was an easy track to spot.  But older stuff like a slightly refreshed LFC which I really re-liked after hearing a new[er] drawn out intro. The Barbie Girl remix was also easy to spot.  AHEGPB made it in pieces, the original sample of the singing woman in Blue Room during the encore set of spinning that LX hooked everyone up with after Fehlmann left the Stage.  Started out with some Chicago, and stayed pretty AM radio mellow for a bit and went back to some serious sparse sort of House stuff.  I cannot really identify most of those types of tracks, but I really think my main point in this review is/was that LX really liked the crowd and was physically all over the place.  He ended up doing a third base type s;lide into the edge of the stage in order to puff w/ some of the front row.  I talked about it with Rachel afterwards and we both agreed that there’s a huge difference between seeing LX when he’s in a really good mood and when he’s not, or seeing the Orb when something is wrong [i.e. Audience, soundsys or etc.] and when it all seems to go right.  It made the show for me to see him [& Fehlmann] having soo much fun.  They even had a complete wipeout, where the whole sys video included went out for about 15 secs, but even as both guys really seemed genuinely caught off guard they just rolled with it.  It was just maybe that type of show?

LX had a CD turntable, two turntables [one perched up on top of some crates up high and one almost hanging off the right hand side of the table they were on], a “hidden” mixer, and of course whatever was on that laptop.  The Video was well done, not repititous or really synced to the music.

I hope I’m not too vague, maybe just vague enough?  Sorry for the lack of track ID’s and I hope I can get to hear what other people get to see/hear during this tour.

Thanks for reading...
