Looking at this Claim Form, I realized that I haven't actually purchased a new CD from a major distributor in a long long time. As a matter of fact, the last NEW music I purchased was from the 12K site direct... which means that Taylor Deupree got my money, not some sleezebag exec. I pretty much buy everything used... and this is probably because I find that "most" new electronic music releases to be rather boring. Sooner or later, my little collections will be complete and I can move to an island somewhere and graze with my headphones on. dj monolith (twice in one day!) --- P J Kane <postlibyan@yahoo.com> wrote:
On that topic, if this is true US citizens who bought CD's, records, or tapes are entitled to a portion of a court settlement of somewhere between $5-$20.
not to imply that i totally trust our media these days, but i have seen several news stories on this, so i think it's legit!
Too bad it doesn't matter how big your collection is. Jimmy with his 1 Mariah Carey Greatest Hits CD gets the same amount of cash as someone who has almost 1500 in their collection. :(
yeah, it does stink. i spend lots on music.... then again, free money is, in fact, free money. i'm gonna spend my $5 on blank CD-Rs!
