I think the development of final scratch was a collaborative effort between
Hawtin, Aquaviva and the software developers at final scratch.
Definitely a cool idea, but the record label suits are already pissing and
moaning about how it will speed along the death of the music industry, what

I saw Surgeon "spin" with it in NYC a few weeks ago. he was just playing
regular techno trax, and i would imagine some of his own new stuff not yet
on vinyl. he seemed a little cold at first, but there were some better
slower mixes during the second hour of his set... i kinda wish he was
flipping real records, although looking at the lapton to see the next
track's waveform was pretty cool.
