Yeah, I'm back! OK, probably nobody cares. However, I've been reading the posts for some time and used to contribute to the list way back in 98-99. I was one of the guys who recommended the Fireman CD (and still does). Anyone remember that? I think Rachel was on then, and JC from Paris...both still are, I think. OK, so on with my post... Finally got the US version of B&T. Not bad. I think I preferred the Japanese release - the song with the bells is awesome, IMO. But that's not there. And what is WITH the rap song for # 2?!? Christ! I don't like to have to say I don't like an Orb song but with this one and Cydonia I'm having to. I personally liked the 2 unreleased versions of Cydonia (the released one was alright). Most if not all the tracks that Andy Hughes didn't have a hand in on Cydonia are not too impressive. And the little, tiny bit of Andy's stuff that I've heard outside the Orb shows a lot of talent, and a familiar sound. Same with Youth and Fehlmann. But it leads me to this reluctant observation - that LX may not have half the talent of the people who support him. And that is like finding out that Santa doesn't exist. It seems, with the Kompact releases and at least some of B&T, that LX would rather have the Orb's new and somewhat incomplete sounding tracks be mixed under some other DJ's tracks in their set rather than releasing an album that is complete and satisfying in its own right, like Live 93 to Orblivion, even Cydonia, which is sad. Maybe that is staying relevant? At least there's Youth, Shpongle, OTT etc. Ah well, it's got to happen I suppose. Anyone hear the new Tortoise album? Awesome! Craig
