If you are simply looking for a player with mp3 capability, I picked up the TDK Mojo. I researched portable mp3 players for about 4 months and settled on this. It has a display that lets you view your mp3 CD-R with all its directories, build a playlist, etc. You can view all the ID3 tags on-screen which is perfect sinc eyou can decide the orcer of evertyhting you want to hear. By far the best buy since it's not memory dependant. A 12 CD case will carry more tunes than ever needed. However, you might be beat matching... In that case, you may be looking at hardware: http://www.djtools.com/mp3pcdjgear.html Or, maybe you want to consider a laptop and run Native Instruments Traktor: http://www.native-instruments.net/index.php?products_us or MixVibes: http://www.mixvibes.com/ or Virtual Turntables, which is pretty cool and works very reliably. http://carrot.prohosting.com/vtt_screenshots.shtml It's really going to depend on the money you want to spend. I've tried Traktor and VTT and they both work really well. Or, if you want to spend big cash, and follow Ritchie Hawtin and John Aquaviva's path, check out Final Scratch: http://www.stantonmagnetics.com/final_scratch/start.asp http://www.finalscratch.com/ ------------------------------------ I'm looking for something to either play cd's, MP3 cd's or just MP3's. Just something that will interface with my current gear. I looked at this GLI thingy that would allow me to back-cue. I've no need for scratching or anything like that, and really don't want to haul my PC around to gigs. Any Mp3 fans out there have any ideas? __________________________________________________________________ Your favorite stores, helpful shopping tools and great gift ideas.
