According to the BBC's website at http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/doctorwho/cd/cult/news/drwho/2003/10/23/7563.shtml , the Orb are set to be involved in the forthcoming (well, early 2004) Dr Who album "Resistance Is Futile", together with Lemon Jelly, 808 State, Coldcut, and more: "Details of a special remix album. As part of the 40th Anniversary celebrations, BBC Music has commissioned a series of remixes, modern interpretations and re-workings of Radiophonic Workshop material and classic Doctor Who music. Artists, which include Lemon Jelly, The Orb, Radioslave, 808state, Unkle, Howie B, Coldcut, Mark B and St Etienne were all given access to parts of the extensive archive of material which help shape the sound of modern dance music. The results are a unique insight into how artists of today were influenced by this groundbreaking music of the past. The album, Resistance is Futile is out at the start of 2004, and all attendees to Panopticon 2003 will receive a free limited edition 3 track promo sampler. Numbers are limited so make sure you don't miss out. Look out for some exclusive preview sound files on the site soon. " Panopticon 2003 is the Dr Who annual convention (which is pretty expensive) - details here http://www.dominitemporal.co.uk/panopticon/p2003.htm - quite what the 3 track sampler CD is going to contain, who knows??
