Spotted this on the Malicious Damage website: "it's been a busy week which started off in the spherical quarter with an appointment at dr paterson's to discuss packaging and tracklisting for orbsessions... " So, imminent? And... "headcount: the new single 1,000 miles will also be out next month and includes the orb book of hours remix of die monkey die " L8rs, Nick ;-) -----Original Message----- "the orb: orbsessions, a collection of rarities from the spherical archives is now underway although the release date isn't planned yet... but we do have a tracklisting: sail/mummy don't/son of my father/eurofen/orbzone/yungle/72.5 [feat. nitram]/steel horse baby/orbert/twinkle" Also, Transit Kings (previously called Custerd) are Alex Paterson, Jimmy Cauty (ex-KLF), Guy Pratt (Pink Floyd bassist, session musician for lots of people including Bryan Ferry), and Dom Beken (of http://www.andmusic.com/). L8rs, Nick ;-) -----Original Message----- is this separate from the Orb Vs Youth, the Transit Kings thing, and the new album??? p.s WTF is Transit Kings anyway? Smiley wrote:
yup - that was me, but i was only passing on info i got from malicious damage...haven't heard anything since, and don't know any more about it so far.
btw - how unusual for an orb album to be late for a change. ;-)
i guess we can expect it by next easter, going by recent releases...

I believe Smiley posted something several months back but I do not think he had the details on the release (or at least he did not disclose details.) He indicated that the album would come out around easter holiday but that time has obviously come and gone.
As for the new orb album - what would one guess is the timing from where they are at now to an actual release? three months? six months? four years?
has anyone heard any of the transit kings stuff? have not heard anything yet but have to think that some of their stuff is out there.
