ok, going through my vinyl & cd: US Promo vinyl's songs Oxbow Lakes and Montagne D'Or are both longer than the US CD versions. From playing the vinyl, Oxbow lakes has an extra minute of intro samples that I've only heard used on the 1994 tour recordings. Montagne D'Or has about a 30 second longer fadeout without the overlap from White River Junction as on the cd. Dunno if the US vinyl is different from the UK vinyl... The U.S. version of the CD is the vinyl version in the U.K.
It is different, but if you have a lovely vinyl copy then you have the same thing. I'm glad they decided to release the vinyl version on CD here. It does make it somewhat special...and it's not very hard to find used in the U.S. stores.
