ok, so any SF Orbies wanna attempt a rendevouz or otherwise identify ourselves at this Studio Z gig? (Personally, I'm going to attempt Banco de Gaia first, and then scoot on over to Studio Z for the tail end of LX...) I'd love to at least say hello to any of you who might be in attendence.
[I haven't got any TOGs to wear, but I'll try to think of something just as orbvious.]
email me privately if you're up for it, k?

No kidding, huh? I could swear that I took a very wide swipe at my own state but you know how touchy those Texans can be... ;)
I blame coffee.
I'm just pissed there's no chance whatsoever of Orb, LX, MBM, Chems, Prodigy, or any of those guys getting any closer to here than Chicago, which is an 8 hour drive.
I was serious about the smell of Southwest Texas. The same holds true for most of western Kansas as well. And you should smell the hog farms in western Kentucky! Oooo man. Puke-o-rama!
And I LOVE Austin. Great town with the highest concentration of beautiful women in the world.
Feel better now?
Also, can someone tell me how to get copies of more of the Thursday Teatime shows? I think they're amazing but the only ones I have I got from Chain Reaction. Someone gave a link but I didn't have time to figure out how to get to the archives or sign up and now I've lost the link. Many thanks.

Hello all, After receiving an angry phone call about my posting about the end of Badorb, I want to clear up the details here:
Badorb is finished due to piss-poor management, not to any artist in particular. LX told me that there were all these pomises made about profit sharing with the artists, but many if not all the artists are still waiting for their money. When it came time to press more records, LX was asked for more money to assist in the task. THAT'S why he decided to pull the plug. I told him of constant complaints online abot the website's service (or should I say lack of) leaving many people fustrated. LX's idea was good, but the execution of it left much to be desired.
LX didn't say anything about Kyle Zeto being the death of the label. Zeto's name came to my mind in the discussion, and LX told me that Zeto's mom was giving him guff about Zeto not getting royalties for his song. It was from these points that I came to the conclusion that "So she'll be waiting a long time for the money", to which LX gave me a what-can-you-do schrug.
From the tone of the conversation, I got the sense that LX was dissapointed about Badorb's fate, but doesn't hold anyone directly accountable. I apologise to anyone who may be upset about the prior posting, and any misinterpretation of it is most likely due to my brief posting.
Gavin

I haven't yet (and I'm in the UK), but I can imagine Badorb being inundated after today's news - wished I'd bought it at the Ocean gig, now!
BTW, most of the tracks from BOB14 were released in Japan on CD - TAKAYUKI SHIRAISHI "PIECES" PMCD-008...
Check out Pickin' Mushroom's website at http://www.pickinmushroom.com/discography2.html for more info... I believe that they also have some Codhead there as well...
