personally, the dream sounded more like a Dreadzone album than an Orb album to me... ...and i was never that fussed about Dreadzone in the first place. OOPA? sounds like something they had sitting on a hard-drive/DAT somewhere, that they couldn't be bothered to finished, and when someone asked for a track for a compilation - bingo. "will this do?" IMHO, YMMV, etc. cheers, --- Smiley ________________________________ From: Ramon Vink <ramonvink@hotmail.com> To: gelsol@yahoo.com; orb@mailman.xmission.com Sent: Saturday, 14 February, 2009 14:58:24 Subject: Re: [Orb] OOPA for everyone The Orb MUST go back to their roots. And these roots are NOT psychedelic or abstract at all, but pure fucking DUB. Nothing more, nothing less. I think they should not move into that minimalistic crap IMO. They have been doing that for a while now and it bores the crap out of me. Also The Dream is a failure to me. Don't get me wrong, i used to listen a lot to Tim Bran's Dreadzone but this is not fun at all. Overproduced i would call it allmost. Sorry for my rant.... R
