I dont suppose you know of any bootlegs from that era do you??? Steve timc_orb@charter.net wrote:
Interesting. I thought the Terrarvm show was musically (from a technical point of view) the best I've seen them do (it was also the first time I'd seen them out of three), while Cydonia show had the best overall flow. Orblivion was somewhere in middle. It (OT) WAS noisy - almost like an industrial show or something, or being in a war. I just remember how impressed I was at how HARD it was, which may indeed not be for everybody. I saw LX at a DJ gig awhile after, and commented how good the show was - I could tell from his reaction that that was rather the opposite of what he was used to hearing, apparently.
Now I'm envious that you got to see the legendary early-90s gigs - I hadn't guite gotten into electronic music in '92! At least I caught the tail end of raving (in the US) before it really started getting shut down. Which brings me to question for listers in general - where are you in the world and are raves still going on? Can you get what you want to take with you in? Good music/vibe or brainless music for e-kids that don't care? Like I say, in many parts of US (Phoenix being most recent big city I was in, where things really went down the toilet), the rave scene has just died.

"You really didn't think the Orbus Terrarum tour with live drums and bass was phenomenal? Wow, I feel sorry for you."
I did, and it still didn't ring my bell, bit of a noise as i recall. But there's definitely no need to feel sorry for me, I saw some fantastic gigs prior to that. Nothing quite bettered the Glastonbury '92 gig, and those who thought Orbital were the classic Glastonbury band must have been elsewhere in '92.
