...so, firstly, sorry to nick king - who was the one that convinced me that this actually existed (as i was very sceptical). sorry mate! anyway, i tracked one down today, and now have in my hands this little beauty: Custerd - "Boom Bang Bombay" (one-sided 12" vinyl; Boom Boom Productions; CUSTERD 001) labels are 'custard' yellow (obviously), and have no info on them at all... ...however, it came with a press sheet, stating the following (exactly as written, so any mistakes aren't mine!). ***** Tracklisting: A. 'Boom Bang Bombay (We're Gonna Rock The Boat)' Only 75 copies mailed!! Boom Boom Productions hereby declare that the first release under seemingly posh exterior will be by the group sometimes known as Custerd. A triangular gathering featuring The Orb's huge and ever pulsating front man, Alex Paterson, Jamms & KLF Minister of Rock Jimmy Cauty & drunken Pink Floyd collaborator and musical expert Guy Pratt. 'Boom Bang Bombay' is a floor-spanking, mash-up of frontline funk and Bollywood shenanigans - a record for record's sake by the keenest collection of custerd tarts you're ever likely to meet. Taken from the unfinished album 'Ear Cake 5000', 'Boom Bang Bombay' is available in strictly limited helpings. Reactions essential & ASAP please!! ***** ...and, it's actually surprisingly good. on first play, i wasn't sure until it got 3-4 minutes in, but on second / third plays it's a real grower. i might even get around to doing an mp3 sample of it at some point in the near future, but don't hold yer breath as i'm amazingly busy at the moment. l8rs. --- Smiley
