I came across an article credited to Mark Prendergast where Alex took credit for the piano in an interview. Here is the link to Sound On Sound magazine where it came from:

Hey guys, maybe somebody knows this..
In the inlay from the new Orbus CD's it is mentioned by Kris Needs that LX claimed that the piano of oxbow lakes is played by himself. Allthough i would like to think this is true, i can recall i heard a song once (long ago) which it was believed the piano samples were taken from. But i cannot be sure. Is there someone who can shed some light on this?
