Burned it on cd to listen to on my portable cd in the garden with a Marguerita on the side and it's quite effective, with brilliant touches all over the place. Pity that my burner left some 2 second spaces between every track. I wanted to burn it without interruptions but something went wrong in the translation from mp3 to cda. I like it, but I'm an ambient Orbgasmer anyway (and hopeless with cd burning progs). Now to stir things up a little: I'm not that fond at all about Pomme Fritz, FFWD nor Orbus Terrarum. They all have got their moments, but that's it IMO, moments where it should be minutes or even quarters of an hour ;-) I realize that the recent Orbs are more patchwork albums than constant flow albums (or call it concept albums, if you want) but the diversity is something I like. The good thing about it is that one can easily skip the tracks one doesn't like (about one third of the 2 last albums, I still haven't got B&T, I guess it will be the same amount there). But the thing I like about Pomme Fritz is only the shortened 1st track as can be found on U.F.Off. From Orbus Terrarum my list is limited to Oxbow Lakes, although everything up to that track is not all bad, but for one reason or another I can never force myself to put it on, I feel that there is too much redundancy in order to enjoy it. Slug Dub, that is loved by some people on this list, seems to be a fun track like Sticky End (U.F.Orb) or His Immortal Logness (Pomme Fritz), but soon after the start the joke starts to wear thin. But that is only my opinion and mine alone. What I appreciate in Orbus is the fact that apparenty no compromises were made to make it an 'easy' or 'popular' record, and who-ever has got the credit for that Trash, Paterson, Fehlmann, Andy Hughes or the local coke dealer, they are to praise for that. Anyway, every artist has got the liberty to make whatever he/she wants and I love it more that he/she changes from direction from time to time than to remain in the recycle business, like Mike Oldfield with Tubular Bells 1, 2, 3, Millenium, and now 1 once again...
