I have a bootleg of this gig which is a 1:14:30 mp3. What I'd love to know from any knowing Orb head is the title of the haunting track the dj plays before the gig starts. It's a sort of Indian trance track with a female voice being played backwards through some sort of gated filter, amidst some "poppy" noises. I have no clue who the dj was or what the track is - could it be DJ Lewis? Your music sits well in large spaces, almost in communion with the sky, so the Garden Party will be perfect for you. Can you think of any festival experiences where you have thought, ‘this is special’? Lots! Glastonbury ’93, Woodstock ’94, Nimes Roman Theatre ’95, Rainbow 2000 on Mount Fuji ’97, The Gorge (Area1 Tour ’01). The one that is very special is Trekkoner in Copenhagen when we played on a pontoon in the sea to an island of people. We did a sunset and sunrise set, with Darren Emerson and Dreadzone, DJ Lewis and more in- between. The lights were so good, they closed down Copenhagen airport until 7am – how cool is that? Jc says : nice ! I've been there to Nimes Roman Theatre ’95 and Rainbow 2000 on Mount Fuji ’97... good memories... jcfromparis

I just got a pair of these fro my Birthday and I am TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY from the sound quality. I am using them on my Creative Zen Touch 40 gig and these Ear Phones ROCK!!! The best that I have every heard. Just wanted to tell everyone to have a good 4th of July!!! They are amazing, much better than any recent orb I've heard - look out for them. just a follow up to the adrian sherwood question:: i completely love the man i'm a HUGE reggae dub fan he's the man behind: prince far I, creation rebel, dub syndicate, african head charge, tackhead dub syndicate OWNZ!!!! perhaps you should listen a couple more times whoever said they didn't care for the one album they have from them try "bed of roses" - absolute masterpiece!! fyi the "other main men" would be bonjo I with african head charge and style scott for dub syndicate ALSO check out adrian's SOLO album...."Never trust a hippy" ambient dub best ever NEED him to come to the usa in a non-tackhead fashion!!!!

hi folks, (this didn't seem to get through the first time, so second time lucky?). i didn't want to point fingers last night, as i didn't have all the details to hand, but as a few people are (quite rightly) beginning to do so: without getting into the long and boring details, this has happened as Koko asked for the date to be moved. as you may well be aware, this wasn't the first time - the original date was actually July 6th. as you can imagine, nobody involved with the orb is too chuffed about this, and they understand how pissed off those planning to go must be. however, on the positive side, September has the advantage that the show will not be restricted to an 11pm curfew (club NME runs from 11pm at koko every friday)... ...there may also be another UK date, outside of London, to coincide with this, but as nothing has been arranged / confirmed yet i'll have to keep you all in suspense until it's booked! cheers, --- Smiley __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
