Hey all, just got into England on Saturdy, staying with a mate in Malmesborough. Currently drinking and typing at The Prince Of Wales pub in London on the corner of Wilton Rd & Long moore st (SW1). So I got a copy of Orbsessions 2. I have a couple of cents to throw into the pile. I like that there are some songs from Cydonia and Bikes and Trikes that have a resting place on here. I am glad that LX changed some mixes as well. "Ralph's Cupboard" and "2026" are certainly up there with the best Orb tracks ever. At least "2026" has a great new ending, but "Ralph's Cupboard" feels like a center segment to a larger, more ambient piece. I wish there was more lead up to the sample on "2026", and "Ralph's Cupboard" starts AND ends too quickly. I wish these songs were creepers, instead of so sudden. Live mixes...live mixes...live mixes...anyone...anyone? Also, about the Trojan Jukebox. I think it's pretty well established amongst everyone here that "Ambient-Dub" has always been their stronghold? I can't wait to hear some of LX's favorite Trojan records...and finally Mad Orb sees some light. Love it!! Orby presseys all year - What will "The Dream" hold? Peace... Michael T.

I went and downloaded the tunes I didn't already have from this set (minus the MadOrb material of course). A nice set I must say. Looking forward to hearing the mixing done by Paterson san. On another note, anyone know where I can get my mitts on a Freebird mp3? Be well. Hully

The Art Of Chill 4.

Got mine today :) Used hmv.co.uk so I got free delivery to UK from Taxfree-Guernsey ;-) The packaging is a double capacity jewel case with O-Card surrounding. Unfortunately, the tray had snapped from its hinges but the CD's are OK. The 6pp folded booklet has a nice drawing on the inside of what looks like the orbs conception (Alex Paterson and Jimmy Cauty DJ'ing at the land of OZ!). I will try and get a scan tomorrow. I have only skipped through so far but I can tell you that 'codes' (from forthcoming Dream) sounds beautiful. The opening slow, whining tones sounds like an orb sample that you have heard before, then the beat comes in from yet another un-namable orb track. If this is not enough you get familure sounding female ohh's and ahh's with a nice carrying long bass.
