We woke up and the stadium was almost empty. Sad considering how good they once were. I would add that we both had been working like mad leading up to that show and we were exhausted. I've been listening to a lot of NPR (National Public Radio) programming of late. The music stations in this city are crap and the batteries ran down on my discman. In the car I listened to a super long dj set by FSOL (12 hour show) which was really aggravating because the sound was shit. I've switched off from time to time to Amon Tobin stuff and my friend Highdropod (www.highdropod.com) and I listened to a bunch of Soft Cell (underated couple of fags) and some Ofra Haza and that's about it lately. Been working on the ambient set so most of my listening time is taken. Listen to the three attempts so far at takes for the album (which will be one take). thrash -I wasn't the person that hacked your web site, only an idiot would advertise that they did it on list. The bogus code and info came from this months Wired magazine (Slammer Viruses - page 156). However, I think that whoever hacked you might have left a virus in at least one of the downloadable demos. Might be circumstantial, but yesterday an alert came up just as I was attempting to access one of them -Zig one I think. Things that have been on heavy rotation lately: The new Boards of Canada LP. Super extra nice. Almost better than the music has rights to masturbate album. :) Oval - Scheznario ep. So soothing Cannonball Adderly Quintet - Live at the Lighthouse LP. Prime 1959 live session with cannonball and his brother Jimi Hendrix & Little Richard LP - What can I say!? They cover "Hound dog"!!! Music sounds better on drugs - hilarious one-sided white label remix of that awful awful stardust song. Has the BEST vocal sample at the end. Warp Records retrospective 4LP - Just picked this up. Love those old nightmares on wax trax Muslimgauze - Box of Silk and dogs. Borrowed by old roomate's copy and ripped it to 256k MP3. I wish I could afford my own copy :( My old MoTown 45"s. "Money thats what I want," "heard it thru the grapevine," and "ABC" have been played a lot lately. The beatles - something old something new. There's a german version of "I wanna hold your hand" which never ceases to make me fall to the floor and convulse with laughter. Metalica - Until it Sleeps 10". There's a moby remix. Its so bad its great. Theloneous monk - the complete blue note recordings. Scored this from some old lady at a yard sale for $1. What an investment! Led Zep - Four symbols. Also a yard sale purchase. Yesterday (I was HTML-ising some pages for a company) I listened to... two albums by... The Blues Brothers (the original ones of course!), I was just jumping up and down in my chair... Then I put on a recent BB King, but went to bed soon after that, it annoyed me as it turned out to be mega-bucks-blues, nothing of the real thing... About the Commodore 64 somebody wrote about, I just downloaded an Amstrad CPC emulator as I had one of those machines in the 80's (still lying on my attick, I guess). I've been playing Spindizzy for a few days now... Aaah, those silly days in the 80's, Rubick's cube and all... (ever heard of a Pacman elbow? I had one!) Felix
