Andy Falconer?

Ah thanks for the floyd. Funny hearing the "ping" from Echoes in there. (I'm still trying to find a particular live version of echoes I heard, flowing across the playa at burning man). Anyway, does anyone know what happened to Andy Falconer? The engineer/mixer on a number of the tracks on "Adventures". As you probably know he made a very nice orb like album: "falconer" (first track "earth rise") back in 93. Apart from a remix I've not found any of his stuff since. Also.... One cool thing that isn't in that soundscape is the last sound heard at the show....... At least during the two times I saw them in 1994......at the end of the soundscape where it starts getting crazy with all the broadcast noises......I guess when the band was ready to come on stage........ALA LFC - the sound of a huge jet plane was heard roaring past. It sounded like it was landing on the stadium......and as soon as the plane shot over, the lights cut off........ooooooooooo exciting.............goosebumps Who else can say that they saw their favorite band - fucked up on two or three things......on Easter Sunday............in the town they were born in.........on their birthday? I don't think I can top Floyd on my birthday. Orbus 95 came close though. Speaking of tours, I wish The Orb and The Fireman would go out on tour together. sigh.....It's a match made in heaven..... Anyone else completely pissed off that McCartney is going to DEBUT Live Fireman material in of all places.....the 100 degree/60,000 strong Coachella Festival? I've been wanting to see live Fireman material for over 15 years, and this is how he repays his biggest fan. It won't be The Fireman without Youth though......... Peace M-T P.S. Floyd Tour Soundscape

Hello Orbsters.... Well....first off thanks to Pete for ripping that DVD version of the piece. I was actually trying to figure out how to get that audio with my new computer. (My old system was capable of ripping DVD audio, but I haven't installed that program on my new system yet.) Did anyone catch the BBC Sound Effects rooster, (of course used in LFC), during the ambient edit? :D After almost looking through every one of my CD burns....(about 1000).....I finally came across the full Soundscape tape from the 1994 tour. I actually mis-quoted....it's about 22 minutes long, and not 24 as I said before. No matter.....it's ambient ambient ambient. Remember, this is what was heard through the surround speakers as the crowd entered the venue. I thought it was the coolest thing ever........like being in a field...but in a stadium at the same time. Also remember that I was really fucked up hearing this for the first time, right after a lovely live version of 'Run Like Hell'........."WHAT THE HELL IS THIS? YOUR TAPE IS RUNNING BACKWARDS!" After about two minutes it starts to get pretty wild....then it tames out for a little while.... ".........transmissions......transmissions......transmissions......transmissions......." This file certainly won't be up long. I'm sure I'll have it down by the end of the month....maybe even the week. This longer version has more pieces that I heard in the new Orb track....more so than the edit that Pete got for us. It has a nice little mp3 tag as well. oi no doubt about FSOL with all of these "new old" releases. really really great stuff. the new album yage - woodlands of old is also really f'n good.
