am on holiday in boulder and despite the fact Wax Trax here was closed 2 mon and I've a week before my next wank, I'm doin fine. I had my first scone and jam from a brit-baker. Seems, much to my discredit, when I leave the justablip forum really gets going! Damn these people here and their holistic remedies... I've gone to the oxygen bar for some mushroom elixir (Jun) and the air hose.. the verdict is I'm still an overweight gent from sea level and Its all a sham. Took listees rec's and got some Amon Tobin newer stuff and Sphongle. its very sufficient. by that i mean good. almost got that Flaming lips DVD thing.. is that any good? any mike patton fans got the new Fantomas ambient album? one 74 min track musta burnt through a few circuts i imagine. gotta go, the filafel is ready.... raw food is all i'm alowed here. blah blah blah (hearing damage) blah blah blah WHAT?!?! WHAT DID YOU SAY?!?! I saw Megadeth once. It was the highest sound level ever measured at the theater. 140db+ inside of the ceiling. The show went like this: "This is a song of the new album..." GZZZZZ!!!GZZZZZZ!!!GZZZZZZ!!!GZZZZZZ!!! I think playback has been mentioned as critical in this sound quality argument. I'm talking about listening in my goddamned car! I'm NOT listening to a MacIntosh pre-amp driving a pair of esoteric tube amps powering Genelec monitors through Krell wire playing a tube 24bit D/A converter based magnetically suspended cd driver v. a $10G turntable with a $5G pre-amp and a $20G cartridge in a perfectly tuned listening room sitting in the sweet spot. I can't even afford a foot of fucking Krell wire. And if you're listening to your music from almost any computer the path that sound is taking before it gets to your ears passes through some total SHIT. Most people's cd or DVD players are SHIT that was made in fucking CHINA by someone that HATES you. The cables that go to their crap speakers are SHIT. The cables between all the components came from Radio Shack and are complete and utter SHIT. The vast majority of new stereos in the world are SHIT. Under those conditions the FM radio sounds almost as good as the cd player. They both sound like SHIT. Hey guys! Got some good news from Gel-Sol land! The G-Spot (thats me!) will have a new track on an upcoming release from em:t records. The track is called Jiva and is very similar to the material on my album "Music Made For You...And By You, I Mean Me." They're also working on getting some distribution for the album too! It wouldn't have the same spiffy album art that I designed or the same album title, due to em:t's method of labeling albums, but I'm just happy to get that fucker out! The album will also have a few edits that make it different from the album in its current form. But I'm busy working on a new album, and it will be WAY better than my rookie release...WAY. I know alot of you peeps have varying views on em:t, but I feel promoting my album as a "collectors item" will give me more exposure, cuz some people buy all the em:t releases just to have the full collection...
