Hey Mark, Can you give us an insight into what was played (or even a general orb review), at Coronet Gig on Friday? Just intertested in how Jimmy, Alex and Youth interacted on stage? Any new sounds? - "Orb is" citar or Perpetual dawn rap remixes? - did youth blow smoke into the DAT machine or thrash jump up on stage to add a "simple sine wave"?? Just thinking that the orb website should offer downloads of their live concerts (mixing board quality) - per apple ipod stylee. Hi All. Just a line to say a BIG thank you 2 all who played for us. This was a superb evening of music. special thanks to me mates Phil Ali Nick Cheese Rach and Mel for beieing there. Also nice 2 meet a few new faces.Tim and sorry but cant remember the other guys name.u knowes who u r.thanks for a splendid evening. The whole weekend really was great.....left the club around 5.30am with Nick walked back to Waterloo to get the train. We were trying to chill and unwind on the station with a nice coffie but were disturbed by some wanker who thought he was Ian Anderson ,he was playing the most annoying flute solos on the station running about on one leg and stuff...i said oi mate youre shit leave us alone but unfortunatley this was the key for more flute solos... Got back to Portsmouth about 8.30...had a bit of kip ...bit of lunch then walked to Fratton Park for the football........youknowesit.Portsmouth 2 Manchester United 0 Wot a fantastic weekend........Superb Music.Different Class football...as for Wayne Rooney 'You Can ONLY score in a Brothel'. named ICQ - they are the first band in years I They changed their name to IQU a few years ago due to some legal dispute. Gotta love the Orb connection when they play Loving You on the old theremin. Their new album Sun Q has the track and some neato packaging to boot. 1) If you get the chance, try messing about with moogs new theremin, the Etherwave Pro ( http://www.moogmusic.com ) - you don't even have to be a musician to produce a damn fine sound (pity about the price though). 2) By the way the orb site is requesting your photos - "keep 'em kleen......keep 'em orb related....perhaps...."!!?! ( http://www.theorb.com/Images.html ) 3) Anyone going to be 'compus mentus' enough to record tonights show at the Coronet ? 4) Did any listee buy the e-bay 60 MIN "Huge evergrowning..." a while back? Is it a better quality recording than the distorted mp3 version? In the correct state of mind this track syncs in well with the new Star Wars trilogy DVD's PLAYED AT X8. Don't forget to slow down: "New Hope-iv" to X1 at "0:42:57" for the Alien Bar scene. Andy worked on most of the first half on cydonia, check out the creds. I think the reason jungle (and the others) were bagged was alex was pissed cydonia got leaked to the internet and decided to replace some of the beat oriented tracks for the newer stuff they were working on. Pretty sure I heard it in one of those realvideo interviews (mebbie "the sleeper awakens"??) I really thought this was one of the best tracks that came out in the pre-release cydonias (v1,v2, etc..). Sadly I don't think it can ever be officially released beceause the production is partly credited to Andy Hughes who left the orb at this point. I'm not even sure if he consented to it that it could be released. There's always wishful thinking. I have a few great orb related photos that I would love to send into theorb.com but they don't have an email addy up there!!! LX bro!! Feed your webmaster some amphetamines and get the link going!! Anybody order/receive the Komplott EP yet? Can't get the Kompakt sound samples to work..bahh! Hesitant to order w/o hearing first, someone mentioned one of the tracks sounded good, a little more in depth description would definately help.
