Did I mention anything about race, color, or creed in my post ? No. Amazing that is the first thing that enters your mind. Why would that be the first conclusion you jump to ? Why do you associate monkeys with african americans ? Stange. THAT seems racist. What a sad night

Yesterday, I went to the We Love Kompakt night in Paris. I should'nt have done that. Of course, it was nice to go to the Aquaboulevard, a place where you could swim from 10pm to midnight while listening to artists. But I mostly went to see Le Petit Orb Live. I've seen The Orb a lot in different places (Paris, Los Angeles, London, Tokyo, Zeebruge, Mount Fuji) and each time, it was an incredible experience. I've never seen Thomas & Lx playing together. Two hours before the show, I said hello to Lx but I don't really know if he recognized me : never mind... Just before them, Ferenc was playing a strong techno set : the crowd went wild. And then came Le Petit Orb at 2am : Thomas was using his Imac while Lx spun some records. Usually, when he uses some sounds he loves (although they are often the same things year after year), it's great, it has humor and such... Yesterday, Lx was either drunk or stoned but he was a complete mess. While Thomas played mostly extended versions of The Orb's Kompakt tunes (with Gee Strings and Outlands (Fountains of Elisha Mix) as a bonus), Lx was trying to put horrible noises (backwards and annoying stuff) on top of that. It was at first strange, then irritating, then boring. The audience liked the tunes, but Lx couldn't care less. He wanted to be hated and tried to stop the tracks several times, while the crowd was having a good time. I felt sad, sad because The Orb is my favorite group ever. I wanted them so much to have success now and in the future, in front of a french audience that barely knows them. Thank God, I didn't invite some friends to come see the Orb experience in 2005. Several times, Thomas asked him to stop his attitude, but Lx didn't. Thomas finally left (AFAIR) and Lx played a 12" of A huge... and that's it. I respect Lx for all that he did before, but I'm not sure if I'll go see Le Petit Orb live again. I'll stick to the records. JcFromParis

Just a quick heads up so others can avoid this lowlife. The image is a plastic iron-on patch that's not even close to the real deal and is missing the yellow trim among other things. The first time I saw the auction I thought it might've been fake but I wanted to give her the benefit of doubt. Hi. please can anyone confirm or deny if LXP had anything to do with this soundtrack cassette. This tape was issued with the Rave Game which was about in 1991. The tape only appeared in the very limited version of this game. The standard issue did not have the tape. I keep hearing rumours that LXP mixed this tape but having listened to it a few times now.im not sure. If ant Orb managment or LX are reading this please can you post a reply. I don't recall them at DTE - but I do know they played St. Andrews Hall in Detroit - was it 2001 or 2000? Great gig. Various Orbules DJ-ed before the show. LX was on a vinatge deep dub kick. If the venue on the vid is indoors (can't see it - I'm at work), chances are it's there. The DTE thing is outside and a much larger stage. Around 2003 and 2004, he joined The Orb's discussion list and was so abusive he was blacklisted. I don't know for sure, but I would guess this is the first time a musician joined an online community where he could interact with fans and they rejected him, one of the people who the list was created to follow. actually thats not quite right - some of them loved me but the moderator banned me - something i had been trying to achieve for years! (thrash) and also whoever wrote this ?? i think that is the first time ! whooooooo hooooooo!!!!

Going through my massive Orb Directory, mostly from soulseek, I noticed the following, which I had never listened to: The Orb - (2001) Annie Nightengale Vs The Propellerheads Radio One Can't find any info on this ever taking place, but its seems awfully authentic. Any background? Wierd, as I'm typing this, the US version of the British show, Top Gear, is playing a song by the propwashers themselves. Damn thats a good show, rife with popular music samples. Anyhow, question for Rachel. Theres also this Orb at Maritime Hall - San Francisco 8th April, 2001 video I have.. but when you open the folder it just says 2B1 presents - Maritime Hall and its some broken web link.. wtf? What a ripoff!! --
