t(h)rash's kickstarter for his new album is up & it will not (physically) be available anywhere else, only through KS - so you've got 59 days to order it & after that it will prolly be harder to track down: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/krisweston/enter-the-fuzzy-dimension?re… Kris Weston, the main creative force behind the early sounds of The Orb, is crowdfunding a new album which will only be released to backers. Featuring 20 some collaborators and artwork by The Designers Republic. The music is free to be used in short movies and independent games, and free to share with friends (non commercial creative commons style license). Music creators may be interested to back it with the option for all the song files, DSP patches, and custom effects and samples. Kris says, "Generally my sound has a sort of soundtracky quality to it I suppose. Its very melodic and if I had to choose my main influences for it they would probably be John Fahey, Miles Davis, Simon Jeffes, Meshuggah and Nucleus." for those that missed the interview on Resonance FM, you can listen/download on soundcloud. highly interesting/entertaining & has some clips of his new music along with his influences. the englewood show was monumental there were a lot more people than i expected, but i've never been to denver (okie dokie houston show may as well have been a private party compared to this) the gothic theater made me feel like i was in an old adobe town and everyone was so nice they came out in full force when they played slug dub, i almost fell out of my barstool will i ever hear bass like that again? no, Orb, Thank YOU!!
