Ween just keeps getting better and better. I saw them earlier this tour in Milwaukee, WI. They kicked my ass all over the place. I was happy to find find out that they're playing two shows in Chicago in November! Already got my tickets. If you want to hear some ween just go to ween.com. There are some links to some pretty large mp3 sites and weenradio as well. <orb content> - that g strings song on B&T is probably the worst orb track I've ever heard. Damn! I think if LX et al had dropped the first couple of tracks on B&T and streched out some of the others that it could've been a great album. The longest track doesn't even top the eight minute mark! What about Ween? I don't believe they've ever been discussed on this list. Personally I think those two guys are goddamned genius. They started out as some drugged-out joke band (and I pretty funny one at that, IMO at least), and somewhere along the way, they got GOOD. Their last two albums have been impressive displays of musicianship to be sure, but personally all always have a soft spot in my heart for their mid-period albums like Chocolate and Cheese and (my absolute favorite) Pure Guava. I'm going to go see them for two nights next week at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, and I'm really looking pumped about seeing them again. These dudes play for like 2.5-3 hours regularly, and definitely have a good time up on stage, I totally recommend checking them out on their current tour! Oh yeah, their latest album Quebec, is pure genius. Chocolate Town off of it is probably my favorite song in the world right now, beautiful. . . What strikes your fancy? >[Tomahawk] pattons most insane band - No way, Mr. Bungle is way more insane than Tomahawk. Although the latest Tomahawk "Mit Gas" is significantly better than their first CD, nice hard rock with the signature Patton antics. I'd have to say that second to Faith No More, Tomahawk is actually the closest thing to "normal" that Patton has ever done. On the other hand Patton's solo albums and Fantomas both out weird even Mr. Bungle. Personally I can't even listen to the solo albums, just not musical enough, but the Fantomas definitely has its moments. And of course I have to mention the Lovage CD, Patton+Automator= One of the sleaziest records I've ever heard (and I mean that in a good way!)
