Um somebody spank me if this has been said already but I'd bet my left nut (the good one) that From a Distance is actually a remix of A Huge Evergrowing yadda yadda yadda. Listen for the bass in From a Distance.. the Boom Ba boom boom boom boom in the beginnin, the dance mix of Brain has that too. Listen to Mr. Fehlmanns remix of From a Distance, is that Grace Jones;s Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh sound. why yes it is, also on Alex' Smart Bar 10_24_02_Part1 mp3 there around 50:00 there is an extended version with loads of extra lyrics including Loving you from a distance and the huge evergrowing theme. Flaming Lips - fucking loved these guys since i was shorter. seen em in 95 and they kicked my ass. seen em again in 2000 ( both at the commodore ballroom in vancouver, which closed down for several years in between) and they seriously blew chunks. i was so diappointed. they used to rock, and all of a sudden they were lame. i can't stand the soft buletin (someone offer me anything for it in trade and i'll accept). i love in a preist driven ambulance and hit to death in the future head and transmissions from the satelite heart. hear it is is kinda cool (with you is nice). telepathic surgery is kind of rough (reminds me of nirvana's bleach in the same way as in compared to later work) - that u.f.o story on that one is kinda tripped out. zaireeka was a neat idea. anyway i have a soft spot for their old shit, but i stopped paying attention after the fiasco of the 2000 show and the soft bulletin. Ween - fucking love these guys too. hilarious shit. tripped out whipitz freaks. seen them in 2001 (at the commodore too) and they knocked me over. way cooler live then i expected - they seriously rock. too many quotes come to mind to pick one - oh hell there's a tick in my in the morning i'll be dead. global smoke in on the 10th - i could be up for that. sorry for belated personal trivia, just wading through the last week's emails (someone let me have a deluge of spam failures (726 of them to be exact) - happened to me once before too, anyone know what you can do about some knob gobbling spammer spoofing your email address?). also i have a tweaker buddy of mine whose been having loads of fun while sending me 245 one liners over the past week. bah. its all getting back to normal now. return to your regularly scheduled staring at screens.
