Actually a lot of white label releases do pay some money back to the artist, usually when it is pressed because of copyright violations. The rest are usually pressed to be distributed to djs prior to an actual release of the song. They know these "promos" are going to end up in the record bins of stores and they don't mind because it usually means even more djs will play the cut. Hey, Smiley you can make this list more interesting: How about seeking out your sources and giving us some inside info on future releases. What's this I hear about the Alex - Jimmy Cauty sessions, and when is the new album (mentioned in interviews) coming out? Got any version 1 MP3's of it we can download (we promise to buy the album, honest), etc, etc. thanks bill

But four stainless steel batteries weighing a total of 33 pounds (15kg) could survive, NASA said Thursday. NASA's High Energy Transient Experiment (HETE) was launched in November 1996 to study gamma-ray bursts -- frequent flashes of high energy that cross the universe. The joint Argentine-U.S. project failed when the spacecraft did not detach from the final stage of the Pegasus rocket that launched it into space. Where the debris may strike is UNKNOWN. NASA has had no contact with the failed spacecraft since 1996, and has no means of controlling or plotting the re-entry. The agency's rough estimate of re-entry is 7 a.m. EDT Sunday, but it warns that this estimate could be off by as much as 48 hours in either direction. Working with U.S. Space Command, the quasi-military agency that monitors the location of spacecraft and space junk, NASA will post updated information at: www.gsfc.nasa.gov/topstory/20020401hetereenter.html."
