Pat, I'll contact you off-list as soon as I get the opportunity. I am also a beginning sailor who has lucked into an M17 as my first (and maybe my last) sail boat. I have had #393 for exactly a year today, and also will need a way to lift her off the trailer, for work on both the boat and on the trailer. It makes me a little nervous although I see that it did work. Has anybody else ever done this?, if so I would appreciate hearing about before I start this project.
