Has anyone come up with a good way to realign the centerboard winch on the older model M17's? I'm tired of fighting the pennant's tendency to overlap due to the incorrect mounting angle. It needs tilted up about 1/4" when measured at the lower edge of the winch. A shim of some sort would be the ticket, but I can't add too much thickness to the mount to keep the pennant straight below the winch. Larry M17 CornDog
Larry: Sean Mulligan made that change when he rebuilt his latest 17. He hasn't reported on how well it worked. I added a 3/4” or 1” spacer (forget which) after convincing myself the extra thickness would not be a problem. So far it hasn’t been.
