I'm sure I'll inadvertently leave a name out, but it's Connie, Tod, John, Larry, Doug, Giles, Howard and others that make this list an invaluable resource
I get far more from this list than I could ever give back. It's a great pleasure to be part of this group of friends -- and a part of that is the diversity in personality, experience, location, focus etc. Which is another way of saying that neophyte questions are as much a part of this as (say) discussions of windvanes that leave me struggling to understand even a part of them. Not only that, but we seem to do a good job of going off-topic in the right direction. It was here that I was given encouragement and information that were a lot of help (to put it mildly) in removing and refitting Dolphin's diesel engine earlier this year. Off-topic: I was strongly reminded of the joys of an M-15 yesterday while removing several square feet of the attractive (but doomed) teak cabin floor on Dolphin because the underlying wood has rotted. As I was cutting across it with the Rotozip, it suddenly occurred to me that I really, _really_ didn't want to accidentally cut through the hull. Luckily the smell of cutting resin turned out to be because the previous owner had the same problem, and had solved it (albeit temporarily) by injecting resin into the rotted area. <Sigh!> Giles Morris
