On February 7th my wife and I ordered a Montgomery 17 from Bob. He had it finished April 2nd; we picked it up April 19th. That's 53 days from initial order to finished boat. And we had Bob put in two oval opening ports lights with screens as well. Great job Bob! Bob was great to work with during the entire process. We live in Wyoming so ordering long distance and communicating our wishes could have been frustrating in the best of situations, but Bob make the entire process very easy and smooth. We picked up the boat on Saturday April 19 and Bob very graciously accommodated us on this day to take delivery. We had a great time being showed around his boat building facility and seeing two Montgomery 23s being built as well as another 17. He was also rebuilding a Nor'sea 27. You all know the quality of Bob's boats, it is top notch. When we first laid eyes on our boat we could not believe how beautiful she was. I still find it amazing that he could build such a great boat for such a low price. If you need a great sailboat and a great builder call Bob he will do a great job. We plan to sail her in Jackson Lake and Yellowstone Lake both in Wyoming as soon as the snow clears. Welcome, David! Glad you got your boat so fast. I had a nice experience with Bob too! --Gary Hyde 2005 M17 sailboat #637 'Hydeaway 2' We can't change the wind, but we can trim our sails. Sailing is like "African Queening" thru life. On Apr 25, 2008, at 3:24 PM, David Schuster wrote:
