Hi all, I am planning to move the electrical panel on my 17 to a new location similar to what I did on my C25. The is a link to a picture that shows that installation. C25 Panel <http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=195050380532817&set=a.10108491326 2698.2445.100000835691253&type=1&theater> . I am thinking that atop the shelf at the top rear of the port settee would be a good location. My question for our builders is, Are the settee backs sealed at the top of the liner such that they become air tanks providing flotation in the case of a swamping? If they are, it will determine how I seal cable entrances to the shelf. Thanks for your input, Earl Landers
earl: there are no 'designed' flotation compartments, or flotation foam, in the M17. the hull liner is 'buttered' into place with a bedding/adhesive compound. i forget your M17's hull number, so i'm not sure who will give you the best answer, jerry or bob, on the specific locations the adhesive is located. :: Dave Scobie :: M17 #375 - SWEET PEA - www.m17-375.webs.com :: Sage Marine - www.sagemarine.us --- On Thu, 4/14/11, Earl Landers <elanders@bak.rr.com> wrote:
