Hi Jen, Thanx for your reply. Sorry to be slow in response. Overseas on business. I could be bats, (probably bats anyway) but I believe that Little Breeze and Michael's story are an important part of the history of the Hess/Montgomery design lineage. Sometimes this history is lost. Is Little Breeze still as she was for Michael's passage; cockpit, etc. or has she been modified? Let me do some checking. I'll email you if that's ok? sal M15 Justus 83 #361 M23 #2 being built In a message dated 5/24/2010 10:45:22 A.M. When we move over to the Big Island, I'll be out of touch for awhile until we figure the best route for internet. When I have time, I can go through my pictures and pick out any photos we have of her and send them to you. The original main sail with #15 was in bad repair but the rest of the sails were good. A gentleman from this list arranged to send us a replacement sail which you'll see in some of the videos. Ron can't remember if he kept the old mainsail but he may have just for posterity. I sure hope so. Sal, Ron's asking $5,000 for boat and trailer. You'd have to check with Matson Shipping to see what it would cost to send her back to the mainland. She'd ship from Nawiliwili Harbor to Honolulu and then from Honolulu to the mainland. Jerry Montgomery spoke with us about her. She is in Kauai now? What is your asking price? salngail M15 Justus 83 #361 M23 #2 being built Jennifer Tiernay <gently444@gmail.com> wrote:
Aloha all ~ We're the owners of Little Breeze, the 15 foot that sailed from California. After we purchased it, we put it on a trailer and it was in land storage at the Ala Wai Small Boat Harbor. Since then, we've moved to Kauai and that's why it is no longer seen at the marina. We are now getting ready to move to the Big Island and consider selling her due to the high cost of shipping the boat and trailer - If Michael Mann would like to have first options and his wife is reading this, let us know. I know you have a deep connection with little sailboat.
I'll post it on craigslist for Kauai. If we cannot sell it here we may just end up taking her. Aloha Nui, Jen and Ron
