Hi John, We have a booth space rented so we're committed. If the first boat isn't finished in time, we'll steal Jerry's prototype for the show. He wants to be sailing the proto by then, so........pressure's on. Hope to have the web-site up very shortly which will include updates. Thanx much for the interest. sal M15 - "Justus" - 1986 - #361 M23 - #2 - being built In a message dated 6/27/2010 10:31:20 A.M. Hi Skip,
The Sage 16 is now a Sage 17 (being 16'10", Jerry felt 17 was more appropriate). It doesn't look like we'll make the challenge this year. We're running about 3-4 weeks behind schedule. Hull mold is finished. Deck plug is finished and deck mold is being made now. Factory in Golden, Colorado is under construction. Currently seeking vendors and a boat builder. First showing should be Annapolis Boat show in October. Drawing should be up on the web-site in the next couple of weeks, which is also running about 4 weeks behind. (sagemarine.us).

Doug,
I thought the standard bet if for a case of beer. Keep in mind the traditional payoff is one six-pack carefully placed under each wheel.
Enjoy the cruiser challenge. Is there any word if the new Sage 16 will be making it's debut at the challenge?

Just to make the SCA cruiser challenge more interesting I am offering a
free six ack of beer (your choice) to any M15 who can beat my M15 Gaff Cutter. Lets get those M15s out there :-) I don't think I am that good but I think the Gaff Cutter will make up for my acing deficiency. To be eligible you must notify me of your intent. If I get too many takers I ight have to recruit Jerry M as crew :-) Thanks Doug Kelch 15 Gaff Cutter Seas the Day"
