2 Things I cannot figure out.
One, how to secure hasps on the cockpit lockers? I have room for only one flat washer behind that rim. I'm sure the perfect fit takes great skill on the part of the builder, but I sure would like to fit a nylock nut in there..... Maybe a threaded insert epoxied into the glass face? Two, I want to place a bracket mount compass on the lowest hatch board. But I notice the compass swings off direction when I lower it into position there. Is there some steel in the tube for the centerboard line? I would imagine it's glassed over PVC. (That's what I'd use if I built it) The boat is on the trailer,.... I'll try it this weekend on the water. Monty folks might be glad to know I worked out my reefing lines on the mainsail. And I decided against running lines to the cockpit. Opting instead to install a stained and varnished plank running from companionway hatch to the V-berth which I stand on when going forward. (It doubles as a cocktail table between the setees) I'll take a picture and post it. Mitch M17 656 grace
