Well it's another pretty snowy weekend here in VA and John Edwards email on the cruise in the FL keys got me day dreaming again. If you can make that Cruise you should do so as the weather is near perfect at that time of the year. This years CBC will be earlier than in the past in an attempt to dodge the heat. The CBC-2005 will start on 5/28 (Memorial Day Weekend) and run though the following week. I have some other commitments later in the week so I will be pulling out on Thursday. There are two plans at this point and both involve avoiding the Bay bridge on the busy weekend. Plan A - is to launch in the Rhode River Area and do the Wye River, Myles River and St Michaels. Plan B - is to launch from Breezy Point (4 mi south of Chesapeake Beach) and revisit the Choptank river. Both trips offer a good mix of sailing the open Bay and meandering up the many little creeks. Plan B has much less access to marinas so may save a little money. Please respond with your interest level so that I can work out the details.
