I owned a Seagull for a dink and saw a few while cruising in the Bahamas years back. It is the only brand 2 stroke I've ever seen someone throw in the water from frustration. It takes a special person to "appreciate" their "simplicity". I sold mine and replaced it with perfect running 3hp & 4 hp Johnsons and never looked back. Tom Colvin (NA) designed 35'-40' sharpie sailboats with long sweeps...really just big oars but only used on one side of the boat. Tom is a motorless type sailor. They work if you want to do the labor!
