Last year, I had the opportunity to watch adult diapers go into a dumpster on a daily basis at a skilled nursing facility, and in large quantities too. Was it legal? Depends. The only precaution I saw, was that the diapers were put into plastic trash bags. Pett's site also states that the bags are landfill approved. Another reason for not poking around in landfills. Bill, if you go to PETT's site and check, you will note that their bags are not "just" bags. They also contain an enzyme powder that treats/breaks down the waste.
