I finally splashed the boat last Thursday. I have not been able to get my CB to go down its full designed length of 15". In addition the cockpit does not drain after a rain. I either need to pump it out manually or raise and lower the CB line as far as it will go and the water pumps out thru the CB line/Drain hole. I plan on taking a wire clothes hanger that I have folded in half as a prod to see if anything is lodged in the hole. ANY WORDS OF WISDOM ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED. George, I am having the same problem with my M-15. I am hoping to go sailing next week, but frankly, I am a bit anxious about the cockpit draining problem. I will appreciate reading the results of how you get yours to work. George, I think I solved the M-15 centerboard drain problem. Used a trigger nozzle on my garden hose with the blast right into the rope hole in the board at the forward floor of the cockpit. Took a couple of tries, I think the first blast sort of softened up the muck, sort of like soaking a cassarole dish before scrubbing it, then the second blast a bit later broke the blockage loose. Also learned to be careful next time I park the M-15 by the big fir tree next to my driveway to have the tarp secure so the pollen and rain can't blow in to make a primordial mush on the cockpit floor. I have removed the screws from the splash board, just above the hole for the CB line. I have a 1/2 inch square metal tube I can push down the hole. I may have to use a piece of wood to press very hard on the top end of the tube to get enough force to free it. My boat picks up lake debris when heeled over and it jambs the board when I raise it. The trailer than jambs it securely :-9 Thanks Doug Kelch M15G "Seas the Day" On Sat, Jun 1, 2013 at 12:18 PM, stevetrapp <stevetrapp@q.com> wrote:

Doug It appears that the CB may be a problem depending on the environment the M15 is kept and sailed in. We shall see? 'We Can Not Control the Wind
But We Can Adjust our Sails'
Steve Thanks for the heads up on the CB solution. I am launched at a lake and have a pier that does not have any water (Pine Lake, La Porte, IN ) will have to take it in shallow and see if I can get a hose to reach the boat. I will be trying my clothes hanger this next week. Garage Sale today kept me from boat today, besides they are having Tunnel Speed Boat Races this weekend not good for sailing:-) George 'We Can Not Control the Wind But We Can Adjust our Sails' _____ From: stevetrapp [mailto:stevetrapp@q.com] Sent: Saturday, June 01, 2013 2:19 PM To: For and about Montgomery Sailboats Cc: griemmolo2@gmail.com Subject: Re: M_Boats: M15 Centerboard drain George, I think I solved the M-15 centerboard drain problem.
