Hi Larry, That's a good point. We used our topping lift while reefing our M15 in Havasu. Not having used one before, we were surprised how much it helped. Well..... your topping lift is used for more than that. For instance, I wouldn't want to tie my boom to one of those snotter lines when I was tying in a reef.
