Sailed out to South Bass Island over the weekend...it was a pretty light air day Saturday, flying the 155% on a beam reach for most of the way. Passed a mid-eighties model Pearson 28 towing a dinghy on the way. And not just passed her, but trounced her. She was also flying a big genny and fully battened main; nice looking sails, much nicer/newer than poor Busca's rags but Busca just knocked the socks off of her on plain straight boat speed. Surely must've been the dinghy. hehehe Tod
Tod: I pass an old Aquarius 23 in my M15 the other day--used to I wanted one of those! Of course I'd have to say they were carrying a crew of 7 and didn't have the sails trimmed right at all. --Gary Hyde M15 #235 'Vanilla' N24 'Sailabration' On Sunday, August 15, 2004, at 08:07 PM, htmills@bright.net wrote:
