If it's a dedicated towing vehicle, used for little else, you could keep a few hundred pounds of ballast in the form of dirt, rocks, gravel, etc. in the cargo bed for more traction. No you don't, but a wet ramp can make a small pickup spin the tries. If someone sits in the bed over the back tires, there's no problem. If you find a Ranger with posi traction, that solves the problem too. I don't recommend front wheel drive as a primary vehicle. Trannies aren't made for the job.
