Hello Gerry, I'm so sorry to hear about your mishap with your beloved M23, at least no one was injured, except for a badly bruised ego. Keep a positive attitude, far more serious boat damages have been repaired. In my opinion, transferring mast hardware from the damaged mast to a new spar would not be that difficult. In the old sailing video "Jan du Sude" (sp?) the captain's mast was damaged in a storm. He resleeved the damaged section by adding an internal support, epoxy and screws. Perhaps a new section could be welded in? Regardless as to method, you will find a solution. You have the support of the group, please keep us informed as to progress.
