What is the wire size for the M15 shrouds? I bought a new set from Jerry last year and I need to shorten them - what size oval sleeves? 1/8? Thanks Doug Kelch
Yes, 1/8". Why do you need to shorten them? All the wires on the 15 have all been an inch of the same measurement since day one. jerry ----- Original Message ----- From: "Doug Kelch" <doug_kelch@yahoo.com> To: "Montgomery" <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Sunday, January 11, 2009 4:59 PM Subject: M_Boats: wire size - M15 shrouds What is the wire size for the M15 shrouds? Jerry, I just cut 3 ft off of my mast to make a gaff rig - I presume I need to shorten the shrouds 3 ft. The forestay I will have to measure as the connections are not the same. 140 sq ft of sail without the topsail. The specs say the M15 is 120 sq ft but every time I measure it it comes out closer to 100 sq ft without the roach. Which one is correct? A 20 sq ft increase on a 120 base is ok but a 40 sq ft increase on a 100 base is quite a bit.
